Default Poor Porsche Service

Its really dissappointing that porsche can build a GT3 in 5 days but they dont know how long to build a PCM.

I got delivery from Porsche Scottsdale a GT3 with a defective PCM. I would not recommend this branch as they should have checked the functionality of the PCM before shipping cars.

Now the car is in the dealership for almost 10 days now and they dont know how long they can get the PCM from Germany.

I should just have ordered a radio delete than have a PCM that keeps on resetting or it evens turns ON even of it is off.

I sent PCNA a complaint as this is a quality issue that is hard to miss.

I had a similar problem with my Macan turbo. I had the dealer contact Porsche North America. They gave me a $1000 service voucher to compensate.

Hmmm... My "loaner car" (a base C2), last year, had the PCM fail after I had it about a week. It was "brand new" (as in about 10 miles on the odometer when I got it). But, they ordered a replacement and had it in about 5 business days...

So far, no issues of any kind with the GT3 (8 months and 15,000 miles) so far...

My SA said it was made to order. I did not anymore argue. Thesame SA told me that the breakin period is 20000 miles(?).

That's what it needs, to be driven.

The problem I am really pissed off is that as soon as the car stepped off the truck, I noticed already the problem. I mean 20 miles in the ODO. Nobody in the dealership even checked why the radio would turn on or off intermittently. They just want to make a sale and put it in the books as a unit sold for the month.

And they would not even acknowledge the mistake initially until I told them I would complain to PCNA.

After waiting for 5 months to build this car, its in the dealership already and nobody knows when a PCM can be found.

Seriously sh*t happens get over it. I wouldn't trust a dealer to qa anything and the unit most surely did pass qa before it left the factory.

I have a 14 Cayenne that did the same thing and the problem just stopped while I was in discussion with the dealer about the issue. It continuously would reboot.

Exactly the mindset that deteriorates brand quality. You set the standard by which the products you purchase continue to be made.

To the OP: send a polite note to PCNA.
