Factory replacement air intake filters for GT3 RS models. The factory uses these high flow BMC air filters as standard equipment, a custom designed filter with original Porsche part number and Porsche stamp on the side.
If you increase airflow through the engine with air filter and exhaust, don't you need to adjust the FI to maintain proper Air/Fuel ratios so you don't run lean/rich?
Or is this simply less restrictive and that's it, with no real performance gain.

There is surely no performance gain.
IMO, always better to just replace the OEM paper filter more often than put an oiled filter in for longer...

The engine will be able to measure and adapt to the increased flow within a certain range. The ram air on the intake or changing altitude works the same from the engine's point of view- in the end it all comes down to pressure (or pressure drop).
My money would be on this filter unlocking a little (very little) power when clean/ fresh- the factory doesn't change parts like this for kicks. It'd be interesting to see data.
