Great stuff Matt!

Would really like to hear this in person if possible (I'm happy to drive out to The Villages)....and we can still do the SW bypass sound comparison video if you're still interested.

Anyone know stock weight of a side muffler vs the 17.5lb FVD one?

Any chance company is furnishing a dyno comparison with stuck? Good that they say no power loss but I'm a little too cynical to just accept on face value.

I'm going to weigh everything when I take it off.

I still have my baselines saved at Titan. I'll be sure to dyno this set-up as well.

Greetings Matt,

Appreciate all of your worthy input!

Do you have an e-mail address/telephone number for Rhonda?

Initially, I'm interested in the FVD Bypass. I currently have the valves capped and I think the car is plenty loud at start up, but would like a little bit more rumble once the car reaches operating temps...

Tks/Cheers,

BB

Hey Matt,

From one sapphire blue owner to another, great job with all of these posts! I have learned a lot from you and hope to follow your lead on my exhaust set up.

Still waiting to see if I get an RS allocation before swapping out my exhaust. Quick question: I am confident that I can remove my rear bumper and swap out the center muffler, but how difficult oreasy is it to swap out the 2 cats?

Thanks for any guidance that you can offer! Best regards.

Marvellous Matt!!

We do get benefits from your input of remorseless research. I am very excited about the result you are about to post here.

My Sharkwerks bypass system arrived last week. I haven't got time to put it on my car yet. May I know the reason you purchase "FULL" cat-back exhaust instead of getting side muffler only? The Sharkwerks system should be very good to run with.

AFAIK, the cats are attached to the headers (one piece). So to replace the headers/cats, you've got to unbolt headers from the engine and disconnect the O2 sensors from the cats, then reconnect the O2 sensors to the new cats and bolt the new headers to the engine.

Sounds like a plan. I'm putting it on tonight.

Thanks Rob. I think you are talking about swaping out the two side mufflers. I think they are really easy, but I'm going to find out tonight. You don't need to remove the rear bumper. It may be easier to remove the rear wheels to get at the side mufflers, but you definitely won't need to remove the bumper.

I'll be taking photos and video, so stay tuned.

It didn't cost me that much more to get a completed center section. I know its shocking, but I'm super **** and like things to be a certain way. I was going to just cap the SW bypass, but asked if they could make me a specific center section. It will be cost neutral when I sell the SW.

I highly doubt this is going to sound much different than using the SW or GMG with caps on the top inlets.

That is correct. I'm not messing with the headers or cats. As you know, "cat-back" refers to replacement of everthing AFTER the cat vs say just a third muffler bypass where the valves and side mufflers are left alone. I mainly wanted to throw those valves in a box and not take them out again until I'm done with the car.
