Hi Eduardo - the mystery continues..... No reference to paint code.<br/><br/>I am contacting my dealer with chassis nr to see if we can fathom the code.[/QUOTE]
you should read the color code in your booklet along with all the options if I am correct.

For some unknown reason, the practice to tag the colour on the inside of the gas lid was discontinued on PTS vehicles starting with 991 production for the North American market. This will create 'confusion' down the line as the car goes from the original owner to others. We already saw that with a 'Pastel Orange' 981 that was acquired recently by someone that frequents Rennlist:

1198r: Go back to your original Abu Dhabi/UAE dealer and check with them. They should have the records of the exact PTS color ordered on your .2 997 gt3 RS. From the information you gave us before (below is captured image from our previous posts re: dealer's original info sent to you), which listed the color of your requested order as Green J5, my best guess is that the color of your car is 'RS Green', color code 2D8 (aux code J5). Please keep us posted so that we know when the 'mystery' is solved!

Thanks, Reid! Very kind of you to say that.
We in the US have also stopped getting the 'colour code' on the gas lid since the PTS 991/981 started to be imported. So far, nobody has told us where else (if at all) it's marked on the 991/981 chassis with the PTS color code! And this oversight will cause problems for touch-up, paint matching of panels (e.g. accident repairs) in the future for these PTS vehicles once they changed hands years down the road and the new owners do not know the exact color code of their special custom paint!
I hope PAG soon corrects this oversight & resumes marking in an obvious place the color code of all of their PTS vehicles! The interior of the gas lid was a pretty good location for it!

That was one thing I had to check when I picked it up. I was curious to see being different location.
One interesting note: all day while at Leipzig, the new vehicles being produced there went on a section of the track to put test miles on them.
