Another vote to keep it. I'm a bad influence though. I have three because I can't part with them.

Buy your Wife some thing nice for her great appreciation of some thing you enjoy. I think you would fair better on a private sale with the low mileage. Most may disagree with me but the Dealer will rape you where you will do better selling it to some one who appreciates the very low mileage and probably the impeccable condition - My $.02.
First post from Jimmy that I recall I didn't agree with.

How many posts saying "I wish I didn't sell that one" or "I wish I kept that one" have you read? How many posts saying "I'm glad I sold that Porsche" or "I wish I sold that Porsche," have you read?

I traded my 08 Turbo for my '11 GT3RS. Big mistake. I ended up buying a Turbo to go with it. Now I always keep the old 911 until I am sure. I did not trade my '14 turbo for my '15 GT3 great move. I have an RS coming but will not trade my GT3 in on it until I am certain. A great low mileage 911 can be sold easily.

Same here but I haven't been sure for 20 years so all of them just keep coming in without any going back out....

I would sell the 997. Like some others said, you won't want to drive it any more after experiencing the gt3. How much do you think you can get for the 997 private party? $45k ? Plus you will save a little dough on registration, insurance, maintenance, etc

I will not trade it until sure. I traded my last Pcar to a F430 and never forgotten it. I loved the F430 but i traded my 997.2 C4S for a bad reason, no garage space. i was hoping somebody would resell it again but never did. Will not do that again. For my GT3, i traded my M5. I bought an S-class prior and i wanted to be sure that it was good enough to trade for my M5. I now know it is(Sclass). So i traded it now to my GT3.

It was still hard trading my M5. Our wifes dont understand it i think sometimes. They are the ones supposedly EMOTIONAL.

Does your wife have a like-minded, unmarried sister?
