Delete the sides and keep the 3rd muff to maintain the diffuser aero effects.

I'm in West Hollywood incase Irvine is too far. I'm using the SW RS tips.

I've got a GoPro but the sound on my videos has always been terrible with that mic.

VF, just to clarify have you still got the OEM center muffler on or have you replaced that with an after market piece as well? Txs.

Oem center muffler is still on. Only side mufflers are deleted , please refer to these pics.

Side muffler delete saves weight but you lose the valve capability. I suspect if you remove center and side mufflers it will be obnoxiously loud and also drowns the overall mechanical valve train noises etc.

I've got the BBi kit on my car and it sounds bananas. But I didn't get it for the sound. I got it for the 43lb weight savings. It's the best bang for the buck weight drop available. For my tastes, it's a little too loud for casual daily driving, but when I'm having fun with the car, I absolutely love it. Super snappy shifts, great burble, and the sound at WOT near redline is unbelievable.

Agreed. Bit too much for dd but sound is totally nuts and cheap too. Almost like I have a new car😄

Has anyone been able to locate a video of the BBI on a 991 GT3?

On a side note, I recently heard GMG exhaust with headers. We were in a parking lot doing stationary revs. Noticeable difference compared to me having the SW. It definitely sounded much deeper and throatier. I heard it go up the road but it was far and brief so I can't comment on that.

I have the SW and its a great improvement compared to PSE. However, like most of you I am yearning for something more. I want something better sounding but not obnoxiously loud. It's hard to make the commitment to buy an exhaust based on sound from a youtube video.

Yup. A lot of the 997 guys swapped over to the M&M side muffler delete because it could be bought with their more robust center muffler.

The BBi exhuast was the best sounding exhaust I've heard so far at meets set up. I've still got SW brand new in box and haven't decided what to do with it but will hang on to it for awhile. Frankly, I'm still being cautious about warranty and back pressure concerns and am probably not going to mess with anything for awhile especially when stock sounds so good as is.

If anything, I may sell the SW and get the BBi but for now, I'm going to enjoy things "au natural."

Dan (thinks BBi has that deep, throaty soun....er....you know what I mean)

Having been an audience with a front row seat to vf430 exhaust set up (BBi side muffler delete), I can say for a fact that the sound is quite visceral, in a very sort of primal way.

Like Nine Inch Nails visceral.

In a good way, of course.

Trent Reznor would be proud.
