Did I read that right? The author condones the vandals act? Ridiculous. It's my money, let me spend it how I want.

yup, got my blood boiling with the authors reaction, she also quips how you can't unleash the speed of the car with the speed limits on the road so whats the point of buying such a car. I guess she has never heard of tracking cars

There is a good number of people that would gladly control the behaviors of others. The author rants about the behavior of drivers that own sports cars. Social engineering at its best. Seen that before somewhere?

Good thing it wasn't one of my Porsches.
With the wife in her 4runner. Xmas season- in the far back of the lot with plenty of open spaces. We were in her vehicle looking up something on the phone when a F250 pulled up next to us and open the door right into us. I got out and asked the lady what she thought she was doing?

Reply: I parked inside the white lines.

Another gem- Circa '00. Parked my C5 vette in the mall lot on a lower volume side- nothing special. Coming out I see an enthusiastic young man sling open a door and get out. I could tell it made contact from 30-40 yds away. I passed the mom and kid as they were headed inside and I said nothing... walked up to my passenger door to check the damage.

Completely by surprise the lady turned and said "Is there a problem?!!" Talk about shocked.. I said "Well yes ma'am please tell your son to be careful when entering and exiting your vehicle in parking lots as we should be mindful of others property." In my mind I had a flash similar to True Lies when Arnold is on the used lot & what you really want to do.

What a great roll model parent.

Given that it is a Glaswegian newspaper, I highly doubt the readers disagreed with the author. In the very home of Adam Smith conspicuous consumption is not appreciated and leveling is.

She's definitely no higher than a 4.

I plan on never leaving my GT3 unattended. No dinners. No shopping. Gas and drive, and then back home. Period.
