And speaking of GT silver there is a one of one 997.2 GT 3 RS on auto trader now in PTS GT SILVER! Asking 225k of course and setting a new benchmark for the PTS 997 RS.

Hey guys I have a guest ion though... I just checked http://www.gt3rsregistry.com/VINs.htm. From what I see the pts option didn't appear until 2011. Since the 997 rs was released in 2007 and didn't get pts until 2011, does that mean we have to wait a few years to get that pts. I don't think I can't that long, Sigh.

I'll try to find my old post and re-post it for you. There is no rhyme & reason for decisions at PAG regarding PTS on the gt3 RS. We know it will not follow the script of the MY2007 .1 997 gt3 RS because PAG has already informed PCNA (who has leaked it to us here on Rennlist) that they are considering a limited number of PTS starting shortly. And that is not really what was done with the .1 997 gt3 RS in MY2007, since that action was limited to one color ONLY!
Also note that PAG also allowed PTS on the base gt3 in MY2008. I personally almost bought a MY2008 'RS Orange' base gt3 that was specced beautifully. When I was considering buying it, I was dealing with Sean Harris at the Steve Harris Import operation in Utah. It was a trade in on a Ferrari at that dealership. Some of you might remember this car!

Not Carmine Red, after all. Spent the morning looking in the paint guides going back to the 1960's at the dealer (great library there) and couldn't find a bright red other than guards red. In fact I can't recall a bright red other than guards going back to my '82, other than the Cayenne GTS red...but can't remember if that was a brightred. Rosso (not Scudetia) maybe?
Can anyone help me ID the bright red from the approved list? Got to get my request in soon.
