This MUST be because tips are adjusted to close to bumper....I have 100mm tips and bypass and have over a hundred miles of track use and not even a sign of any warping on that black plastic surround. I adjusted mine as far as I could away from bumper cutaway for tips.

I never understood why any firm large or small would give less than stellar customer service.

I had a job in my 20s working for Edison Brothers (retail ladies shoes, like Al Bundy) and their policy was the customer is always right. I once saw the manager give a refund on a pair of shoes to a little old lady who was insisting the shoes were purchased from this store even though they were obviously not even our brand. The thought behind this was to gain a customer for life. Keeping existing customers is so ultra important in todays business world.

Sharkwerks has this concept down pat. Kudos.

Can you advise the distance from the plate to the top of your tips. Mine is exactly 1 inch - Thanks for your help

I should have my car back today and will take a photo of where my tips are now.

I have had them here for a while without any issues (the bumper has been off a lot lately) but this last weekend was a 90f+ day at the track and it must have been enough to cause a problem.

Bigkraig I thought you were running the BBI exhaust. So...are you running the Sharkwerks tips on the BBI exhaust? Sounds like an install issue; not an issue with the Sharkwerks tips.

Thanks. I should be fine.

But - after driving a little bit if you feel the inside of the Plate, above the tips, - does it get really hot??

Mine certainly does and I compared it to the stock ones on another GT3 car and the heat from the 100 mm tips was noticeable. Enough to melt??? - I do not believe so

Last track day (82 degrees outside), after 25 laps I pulled back to paddock area and I felt under that area when I parked and found it very warm but not hot. I will continue to keep monitoring it as outside temps start to rise this summer. I guess my real test will be AZ with our 110+ temps coming but I'll probably keep GT3 in Florida this summer.

Sorry Jimmy the Black Beast will make it first appearance in the "real" world on April 2nd. Traveling too much to get is sooner.

Thanks.
