Sorry if this has been covered before and I missed it, but does anyone know what this micro fibre stuff is all about?

Who's going for it and who's going alcantara?

My first hunch is alcantara.... I am now hearing MF wears even better.

 

Pics have been posted on the massive RS and the Geneva threads. It's basically a fuzzier, thicker alcantara. Should feel nice I was going to order the grey microfibre but I think it would stain verrry easily.

 

I wasn't going to get it, but on decided to add it to my build. The seat inserts are easy enough to recover it if doesn't wear well.

 

Until I know exactly how is it different looks, feel and wear wise, I'll stick with what I know, alcantara.

Isn't this just Microsuede? The stuff they use for sofas and what not?

 

I'm going with the standard alcantara - whichever color I settle on . With my submitted Lava build I thought the standard interior was a little less over the top .

 

The leather interior with alcantara is not over the top. When you order micro fibre however on a lava car, you get the pimp lava seat inserts and other parts...too much bling for me....although I have not ruled out the lava pimp MF interior.

 

Microfibre in EU is Stuff used here to clean window glasses
not even close to the beauty of alcantara

but weight is lighter
wow 200 grams what a bargain!

 

Alcantara is much nicer. I would not do micro fiber

 

I believe that Microfiber is flame retardant where Alcantara is not.
I could be wrong about this....

 

Once I get an official build date/allocation...I will revisit the pimp MF lava interior...
