'Lava Orange' apparently not exclusive to the RS...even on it's first year!

non-RS. In fact, 'Lava Orange' became a special color on the MY2016 .1 991...so it's not just a .2 991 offering!

Here is an example that just arrived at the dealership I saw in Lava Orange on a Turbo-S. This Turbo-S is fully optioned and MSRP as I recall is around $240K. Porsche has deployed these to dealers which are "Fully Optioned" and has "one-of" configuration.

Lava orange actually looks really good depending on the lighting. This is actually true of many of the less common paint colors (even the dreaded lime gold)- lighting is everything. Having said that, our preferences for colors are probably even partially in our DNA and certainly developed to a large part in the childhood years.

LO on the RS looks great to me, still prefer it over UV if I had to choose and know I'm likely alone on this. I saw LO on a Carrera and it was too much however. Being the launch color for the RS it will always hold a somewhat special position in the future.
