Default Track day gear that fits in car?

For those of you who drive your car to a track event, what gear do you bring and how do you fit it in the car? Especially if you have a roll bar?

For instance, do you bring a jack (or jack stands), or do you count on being able to borrow one if needed?

As I am still waiting for my car, I track a Mini Cooper and I just pop two small tubs in the back. But I doubt these tubs will fit in the GT3.

My current kit contains motor oil, air compressor, tire pressure gauge, pyrometer, infrared temp gauge, torque wrench, jack pads, paper towels, glass cleaner, work gloves, water, tire blocks, tape, folding chair, sunscreen, windshield shade, tow hook, helmet, driving gloves, driving shoes, and iPhone mount.

Add to this CL removal tools (alignment tools, breaker bar, torque wrench, grease, gloves) and I am wondering how to fit it in the car?

Looks like you know how to pack!

Way back when, when I used to drive to the track, folks were always amazed at the amount of gear I could pack into the car. And yes, it had a half cage.

jack
2 jack stands
2x4 wheel chocks
Snap-on tool bag (semi-soft side, open top)
giant Snap-on torque wrench
giant breaker bar
tire pressure gauge
tarp
tote bag with fluids & cleaners
paper towels
helmet
HANS
gloves
driving shoes
iPhone mount
roller luggage (carry-on size)
folding camp chair (small)

Buy a furniture pad and use it in the rear, behind the seats, to stow gear back there. I placed the torque wrench and breaker bar there, along with the jack stands. I also bought a liner for the frunk, so that I could pack things tight without fear of damaging the OE lining.

Of course, it helps to be alone. I used the passenger seat for the luggage, footwell for the helmet and HANS, etc.

I got a small easy up tent that I bring with me, it lays across the back shelf. Cage is not installed yet.

A furniture pad is a great idea. I'm always putting a towel or something down to protect the alcantara. Gonna buy a pad now.

Chromium's list is just about identical to mine when I drive to vs. trailer - harbor freight has decent deals on moving pads - get a bunch of them and line the frunk. All this fits in frunk with helmet, chair, hans in back, small suitcase on passenger floor, small cooler in back or on passenger seat.

here's mine:
Inspection Form
Schedule / event info
Cash
DE Clothing
Helmet
HANS
Gloves
Sunglasses
Camera / gopro
AIM/Smartycam

Small Air Pump

Blue Tape
Duct Tape
Oil
Torque Wrench
Lug Nut Wrench
Tools
Caliper tool
Zip Ties
Extra Brake Pads
Tow Hook
Window Cleaner
Rubber Remover
Quick Detailer
Paper Towels
Microfiber Towels
Brake Cleaner

Ha! I knew I was forgetting something. A small six-pack cooler! Oh, and my Cool Shirt port-a-bag (soft-sided six-pack sized cooler).

Agreed, a small cooler is key, though I'm concerned about getting mine in now with the LWB seats. This is a good topic. I'll try to find some time to update my gear thread to include all the things I bring for track days. Spyrex's list is pretty close to what I bring. I was using a small plastic bin for the tape and tools, but I am thinking of switching to entirely duffle bags since I can't get much through the LWBs to the back. One interesting thing I bring to many tracks is a full 10x10 tent. I haven't yet tried in the GT3, but it fit fine in the 991S. It's a 10x10 white tent from Costco (very durable compared to others I've purchased). It fits in the front passenger seat, with the tent part down. I lay down towels to protect the seat. It's critical for events at places like Buttonwillow or Laguna Seca where there really isn't much shade.

Keep it simple and go straight for the 48' trailer with a Dually.

I put a bag in the trunk with my gloves, helmet, shoes, flashlight, toe hooks and personal items. Car goes in a 24' in tech enclosed trailer with everything but the kitchen sink and eventually I'll find a place for it. After a day of tracking it's like hitting the recliner climbing into my F250 for the ride home. My closest track is 80 miles away so I envy you guys that can pack a few things and run to the track close by.

Just ordered a new 2015 Dodge 3500 Dually Diesel Mega Cab to replace the same 2011..
115K miles in 4 years, over half of those are to the race track and back.

For me, much of the fun of going to the track is the drive to and from the venue (lots of mountain roads and lonely straight sections). Pulling a trailer would ruin it.
