Interested to know hear from the people that are planning to track their cars are you getting a full or partial wrap to protect the paint? Is it crazy to track a car with a partial wrap? Is there too much stuff flying around?

Depends... tracks around here have a lot of sand and small rocks, you follow someone and you will get pelted, a lot. And those sticky tires throw all kinds of crap all over the place. If you want full protection, full front bumper, full hood, full fenders, doors, lower sills, mirror fronts, a pillars, at least 1/3 of roof, in front of rear wheels, extend up arches or do full rear quarter, and consider doubling up the area of where oem protection is, behind rear wheels, wing, headlights, fog lights, door handles. And if you want a windshield wrap.
So yes, full wrap. Rear bumper isn't really needed other than behind rear tires.
I get rubber covering every one of those areas.

I've had my tape over a month, pick up my car at PEC Atlanta April 1. Any tips on applying the wrap? I'll drive it the 2 hours home and then an hour to the PPF installer the following week.

Road Warrior via Amazon, been using it for a year to protect my ppf while on track and works amazing. Had it on for 3 months last summer and came off with water in seconds.
Best way to protect non PPF cars or those who have full PPF on the front nose and rear sides near the intakes.

I wasn't quite sure about a wrap at first. I plan to keep my car "forever", so I thought if and when the time came I'd just repaint it, so a PPF wrap before then would then be just a waste of money. And I certainly wasn't going to drive around the track with saran wrap looking things. In the end I caved in because of all the posts here on Rennlist. I went with PPF on the bumper, full hood, full front fender, both side mirrors. I've seen the front bumpers on my fellow GT3 track rats, and I'm glad I did that part at least. PPF will heal itself in most instances, and mine still looks pristine after a dozen weekends on track. If you are going to do it, don't do half of anything. Some will disagree, but I think that edge that goes across a panel, though barely discernable, is still tacky.
Rubber marks are not a big deal. They come off easily with hand waxing, and there are even products that are specifically designed to dissolve them. It's the little stone chips that are a problem, and the PPF will heal itself with those.

Full, panel off, wrap suggested... likewise, track day protection of that wrap for the front bumper, hood, and behind front wheels.
You can see the xpel track day wrap installed here, this overtop a complete PPF. I also use magnetic protectors for the back quarters.

Purchased my 2019 3 RS with 8k miles. It had full ppf, but the windshield is very heavily chipped all over. Is this a sign of tracking or road trips? Thx

Hi everyone, we're looking to write an article for a local Porsche club weighing the pros and cons of Tracwrap. We're in need of photos of cars completed in both Tracwrap and Painters tape, so if you can provide consent, we'd love to use some of the photos here.
Thanks in advance!

'M3the01' - What is the magnetic material you use on track days on the back quarters, and where is it available?

What should someone expect to pay for a quality PPF install, full wrap vs. front-facing surfaces?
Is there any benefit to PPF beyond protecting from rock chips? Yes, I've googled this...it's a bunch of marketing BS from the companies who make the stuff.
