Great driving Lar!
Here's the thing: a 7 Cup requires that much more effort to drive fast, that I think an 80% effort in the coming 991RS on Hooters will be as fast as my Cup at 80%.
But that's really not the point is it--the brilliance of a proper racecar is the precision and challenge. That last 20% is where the magic happens and the Cup starts pulling magical seconds out of the lap. Just as well, the 991's brilliance is that it allows 80% of the population to get an 80% racecar-like experience.

I will be honest; that is a little scary watching how fast you guys are going. My adrenaline was pumping watching this. I guess I never really saw some thing like this other than Nascar on TV and your video is sicker than any of that other stuff . It also shows how dangerous racing could be.
Love it

It's not for the feint of heart. It takes just about everything out of me to glean a few extra seconds when I push. I'm straining for all I'm worth. And when I get out out of the car, I'm drenched in sweat. Even in the cool of January in Willows. But, to be sure, I'm no youngster and I'm pretty plump at the moment, so perhaps some of you wouldn't feel the same after all is said and done.
However... if I slow down a couple of seconds, I can reel off those laps without any strain (but still the sweat - it's hot in there!).
What keeps me going is the lap timer in my dash, telling me I just put down a personal best. My goal is a sub 1:50 lap of TH on the 3 mile bypass. I'm exactly 1.001 seconds off that goal.

For mooty's private trackday's- with few cars and pretty much open track- someone needs to do comparo of all gen gt3's with same driver. Would make a great read and video. Mike

Thanks for the video. Very impressive driving out there. You do make it look somewhat easy but I can appreciate the effort. How long have you had experience with the Cup car?
