No KERS. Your alternatives more costly/harder to get than 991 RS. Be patient and work the dealer network; you'll get one.

Some people don't care anymore whether they get an allocation or not. All they want is a simple answer - YES or NO. Either answer will be fine, honestly, so people can move on after YEARS of waiting.

Congrats to those who get one of these unicorns. The new RS will become the best road car in the world

I don't think it will become the best, perhaps one of the best?

There are some fantastic vehicles planned, which will be even harder to get but also significantly more expensive like Nizer posted.

I'm aware that all the vintage rides I think about are at least 100K beyond what a basic RS is likely to run . I hope I can get one as I think it's will be pretty special .

Anybody can buy an RS, you just may not be the first person to own it. The "virgin" addiction is comical to me.....wait 6 months to 1 year from release, and you'll likely have your pick of a few different colors from some people who say it's "too stiff" to drive on the street and traded it for a Turbo-S. Happens every time.

If rumors of the car's unforgiving nature this generation are true, it's likely to happen more than usual (with some downgrading to non-RS GT3 as well).

True. But I'd be willing to bet you'd be paying a good premium for that girl that someone else was able to steal her "virginity" from.

My post wasn't for paying over retail - Mclaren has a limited edition track car coming out, 70 world wide apparently, the ask from the dealer is $50k to 100% lock in a slot...
