No one has a firm allocation, and pricing has not been announced only speculation so far.

Not if there are less than 918 globally. Then it's based on order date for 918 owners.

On this board, people have been saying 500 US units. If that's true, the number will be 1500 globally, which is a bit less than prior RS but not much. It's not going to be a really rare car if that's true - I don't know why people keep saying this.

It could be a homologation production based on FIA regulations. Porsche have done very low numbers before with race car homologations. The RS could well be too expensive to produce beyond the minimum required for homologation.

Perhaps an expert on Porsche homologation could chime in...

Yep, plus total 911 reported this in December:

"Sources close to Porsche have suggested that the new Porsche 991 GT3 RS will mark a the Rennsport’s return to truly limited numbers, with the UK likely to see just 38 cars in 2015 after the car’s launch next March."

+1 I'll bet that many of us that want one will get one. That's what I keep telling myself at least. (It helps with the anxiety)

So many other choices out there now that I don't think this is that big of a deal. I have deposits on 5 cars right now and only want 2 of them, assuming I sell the GT3, can't make up my mind as it is!

I'm thinking the same way. I'm a lucky owner of the last two great RS, but actually more curious about the cayman gt4 than the 1rs. Can't believe I just wrote that. 😉😉

I don't believe 996 GT3 RS can be registered in the USA. I could be wrong but they were never sold in North America.

Thanks for the interest but not for sale at the moment. I think it will be worth more than the 4.0 in the future.
