What is the best media to sell a
car. I am considering Autotrader premium program which is pricey but they do provide considerable help and guarantee. Anyone had experience with Autotrader or other effective car selling media's I should consider?

I personally would not spend the extra for the upper end autotrader packages. Get the least expensive one that gets you 14-16 photos. I would spend the difference on a couple other sites and of course as many free ones as possible. It's all about saturation and reach. Obviously as many have stated Rennlist is assumed in all the above.

You could also consider a consignment at a Porsche dealer?? They take a smaller percent as the $$$$ go up. For the dealer I used, it was 5% on cars over 70k. It may even be negotiable. Have you asked the dealer you bought it from (who already made money off of you)?

autotrader
rennlist is great of course, but smaller audience
I sold my 2011 gt3 the day after I listed the ad on autotrader at the same price I paid for it 3k miles earlier. Some of that was the car, but I have had similar experiences. If you list on autotrader at the right price, it will sell fast. Only purchase the package with minimal photos. People will buy based on description and price primarily. Important to have a few pics, and make sure they are good ones, but I wouldn't buy any of the add on stuff. Just make sure you are clear on the important stuff (if true) - one owner, enthusiast owned, zero modifications, zero mechanical or cosmetic repairs, flawless, xxxx miles, etc.

Between Autotrader.com and Cars.com you have 90% of the buyers covered. I also add a free Carfax link
so buyer can see past history. RL, PCA magazine and Dupont Registry will add additional buyer contacts.
Some dealers will allow you to run your sale through them as a trade-in if you are buying a new car from them to reduce Sales Taxes if your State Auto Sales Tax deducts trade-in values. Good Luck!

Autotrader all the way! I just sold three high end cars on Autotrader. Two sold to the first person and one to the second. I had an offer for my asking price on my Boxster Spyder in less than 24 hours. My Audi TTRS sold after a 5 minute conversation.
