yes...it's a concern and I'm looking for solution for both the door side lower bolster and lower alcantara cushion because when I get in I turn slightly after my left leg is in and the lower alcantara will eventually wear from this slight shift. I was thinking of having a small removable cover that goes over that bolster and has a flap attached that covers the lower alcantara. Need to have something stitched up to test.

My Boxster with GT2 buckets now has around 25k miles and shows zero wear on the bolster stitching as I tend to lift myself out with a hand on the sill. The seat base has actually worn more as I swivel round slightly before getting out. I suspect that would be more of a problem with alcantara.

I used those, post #66, on my sport buckets and they did their job. You sometimes need to reposition them as they will creep a bit.
Post #61 brought back memories of the 60's. People actually put that stuff on their furniture.
