I'm not trying to pick a fight. However, it's no where near as simple as that (stick v manual), so don't go thinking or wishing or claiming that it is. If you could magically plop a PDK-S into a 3.8 RS, and had a manual version along side to compare, that would be a simple stick versus manual. But in reality, the 991 is a COMPLETELY different car from the 997.2. No matter if it has a stick or paddles. Or, as I like to say "it's exactly the same, only completely different."
The new GT3 is longer, wider, has more horsepower, revs higher and is waaaay more comfortable and quiet inside. It's also wicked fast. Faster than the 3.8 RS.
I'm not one to argue which is better. To each his own. Go drive them and find out for yourself.

But, some people want a 3 peddle car.

like the lighter weight, longer wheelbase/wider front track, and better aero of the 991 platform. prefer the manual trans, steering as wheel as thicker optional steering wheel, and sparser interior of 997 RS. Motor is still a push in my book. 991 GT3 motor is clearly quicker but they need to test it in motorsport platform before I can give it a long-term vote. sound-wise my vote is still 997 RS.
we'll see what the 991 RS brings to the table (as well as next gen Cup).

I sold my 997.2RS and ordered a 991 GT3.
Don't really miss it. It was purely my track car. Occasionally miss the "rawness" but I can buy a 996 or 997 cup if I want that. I love the new technology in the 991.

+1, worse yet , I did post a thread on how I will never sell the RS after driving the 991 Gt3, but the fact of the matter is they are both for track use and the 991 is far far far more superior car when you push it hard and more refined when you go to get your kids milk. So unless you are a collector....find a 991 quickly because there will be none very very soon.
