Default Rattle from Rear

Hello Guys,

I am hearing a rattle from the rear of the car over uneven pavement driving around town. To me it sounds like its inside the car but I can't pinpoint it and I know if I go to the dealer they won't either. I read the posts about the rear deck lid. So i opened it and closed the lid and the noise seems to have gotten better. But the lid is not loose in anyway when i press or move it. Do you guys think this is the issue or is it something in the cabin?

Perhaps the wing is loose?

Went to the dealer today and they heard the noise. Don't know where it's coming from but they hear it. Good first step. Monday is my appointment.

Common issue. The engine lid has two adjustable studs/bushings that need adjusting. Dealer did mine in 5 mins and it's good now.

Correct. I have the same issue and dealer couldn't diagnose it. I spent some time in the garage and found out its the lid. If you push on the lid (not the wing) you will hear it. I just haven't had time to take it back for the fix.
Cheers

I have pushed down in the lid not loose. I dropped off the car this morning and I let them know about the lid. They just called and say they need more time. Haven't diagnosed the problem yet.

Do you have one of these on your key fob?

I think I had the same issue. I was hearing a noise behind and above my head that I was sure was coming from inside the cabin. Climbed in the back and tried knocking on the interior panels but couldn't replicate the noise. I didn't suspect the wing at first, but when I rapped on it I could hear a rattle outside the car. I sat in the car while I had my wife rap on the wing, and that was it!

There are two rubber bumpers under the edge of the lid, each with a 13mm lock nut. Loosen the nuts, turn the threaded bumpers a turn or two. retighten the nuts and then retry. You'll know if you've gone too far because the lid won't look flush and may not close properly. For me, this fixed the noise.

Mike thanks for your response. I tried that deck lid was tight.

No keychain on it. I learned that lesson with my panamera.

Hopefully hear from the dealer today

kneman1, my lid didn't move and seemed tight but when I pounded on the wing with my fist (sounds bad, didn't do it that hard ) I heard the rattle. Anyway, let us know what the resolution to your issue is!

Well I got a call from the service advisor this afternoon who tells me that they hear the noise loud and clear just can pinpoint it. Again I reiterate the deck kid and he said the foreman and tech are certain it is not. I will keep you all posted. Any other suggestions ??

By the way, What is the lesson regarding the keychain? I just got mine and hadn't heard this before
