I would have no issues driving mine that far from a comfort perspective. I can't believe how comfortable this car is. They have achieved an impossible balance. Can't describe it. The car is absolutely perfect.

I was thinking that too. Big point.

Just vary the Rpm. I did this with my 2013 Subaru STI and it doesn't burn any oil.

Just keep it in manual and vary the rpm. Don't set the cruise. It's also good to do some engine breaking. I'll be picking up my car hopefully in January in FL and driving it back north.

I'll drive it down for you. I'll vary rpm's, take some side roads, etc. Have it to you in a day, just pay my airfare back to NJ. :-)

As just about everyone else said - pick it up and drive it down. Check the forecast and pick a couple of days that the weather would cooperate.

Mine came into Davisville on 9/29; was at the dealer in Boston on 10/1. Intercity picked it up on 10/4 and delivered it to Longboat Key on 10/8.
I thought long and hard about driving it down, but my biggest concern was the construction on the Interstates along the eastern seaboard. Who knows how many stones etc. would hit the car.
