Default GT3 vs Speciale vs 650S

Finally, some lap time comparison between these 3 cars on the same track and the same day.

Confirms impressions of the GT3 as the ultimate do-just-about-everything driving machine, price independent, let alone at the discount to the other two. I cannot imagine a Speciale for anything but track and short drive duties (but would those not be amazing), and the McLaren just seems not to stir the soul like the best from Germany and Italy at this point. Must have been quite fun for those guys (gals?). Great day when they get the Huracan completely dialed-in.

Just happy for the GT3 to be mentioned in the same company as the new benchmark 458Sp. The battle with the RS should be completely epic!

Certainly the GT3 took advantage of the short track, impressive none the less.

Can anyone tell which is better on the track, PZero Corsa or Michelin Super Sports?

This is awesome. My color and all. I'm excited to go for a nice drive in the morning.

Have to believe that on that track the RS would be more than 1.2 seconds faster than the GT3, and thus faster than the 458s

I doubt it. If the gt3 had MPSC2 and the other two on corsas, I think the gt3 would have won, though that's not a fair comparison.

i like the summary statements - the gt3 is the bargain of the bunch despite very little difference in performance and a significant price reduction.

Dial in some more front camber to eliminate the slow mid-corner under steer and you've probably got yourself a new best lap.

This is unfair comparison. The Pzero Corsa is a dedicated track tire and compares to the Michelin Cup tires or P Zero Trofeo tires. As matter of fact on the Ferrari tire sizes such as 305-30-R20 the Pzero Corsa tread depth is only 6/32" versus 10/32" for MPSS. Really unfair to have the GT3 run on street tire while allowing the other two cars to run on track tires. Mark

I wonder if the tires really were Super Sports, then on same tires it could have pulled a much better lap.

MPSS is not a GT3 tire option, so again I don't think he got the model tire right. Especially in the beginning where he makes a point to say the tires are more or less equal. I'm sure it's just a mistake, and the tires on the GT3 are the factory cup tires.
