Default Daily Driver?

Anyone use their GT3 as a sort of daily driver? I have other cars but would like to drive the GT3 to work about half the time? I'm coming from a 997 C2S. I won't be driving it on the track either, should I be looking at something else? I love the sound and look of the GT3.

Yes do it. Easily DD-able and feels way more special than a regular.

One previous 997 Turbo S owner told that the 991 GT3 is better DD than the 997 TTS

That's true actually. Well, except for stiffer suspension, less mid-range performance, only 2 seats, more noise, no parking sensors, a wing rendering the rear view mirror useless and a front lip that drags on every speed bump.

I can daily drive any modern day sports car so long as people don't stare at me like I am a super star or I don't have to worry about parking it here and there (without people having fingerprints all over it). That's where the 911 fits well, stays under the radar as a dime a dozen car and the boy racer wing of the GT3 will be seen as just that, not some exotic vehicle.

I am curious-- those who are using it as DD, how many miles are you putting on it every week. My daily commute is 60 miles RT, so I don't plan to do it 5 days week, that's just too much. plus my commute is a bitch (SF Bay Area).

I've been driving mine every day since I bought it. I commute about 14 miles each way in bumper-to-bumper traffic. I'll probably end up with a Leaf (or similar electric) soon, but for now I'm _very_ happy.

I just spent the weekend in my baby and I must say it is just incredible. Drove it an hour and half to a Track for a full day session then cooled her down and drove 3 hours into the Rocky mountains no problem. Just effortless no matter where I was or how I was driving just an amazing car. As a DD no problems no matter where you are, no question more special but truly amazing how it can go from the highway to the track and then into a long road trip into the mountains and back again just fantastic
