Question For those previos owners of 991 911s ... do you miss the entry/drive + memory seats?

Just curious.

And wondering how (or if) you cope.

Thanks.

Never had enter and drive on a Porsche but on other cars it's at best a minor convenience. As the only person who drives my GT3, memory seats are pretty much an irrelevant option. I'm coping fine.

I would have checked the box if it was available on the GT3. Like it in my TTS and previous S cab. Not a huge deal though. I have it on my current Audi and sometimes it recognizes you and sometimes it doesn't...pain in the ***. I've never had an issue with the Porsche one though.

Wifey never drove my 911s and is terrified of the gt3 so memory is not needed . Loved entry and drive and thought I'd miss it. Would have ordered if available but the car is so much bigger than these little details it becomes irrelevant or at least close to it.

I'm only missing parking camera, but then I am the only one who drives the car, and I have bucket seat with no adjustability besides front-back.

Made for an interesting conversation with a friend when I took a friend for a ride/drive -

do you have memory for your seat position?
Yes, I remember it.

Does it have a parking assist?
Yes, you :-)

The only thing I wish it had is not a rear camera but a front parking sensor. The nose/lip sticks out so you have to be careful pulling in to spots not to pull up too much

Yes for the entry and drive, and I still keep trying to unlock the car or start it with keys in my pocket.
Before changing to buckets, not having memory was very irritating on track days because I have two very different seating positions on and off track and it would take me a couple of adjustments to get the seat back where I like it to be.
That said, I learnt to live without them and no biggie. I miss a "normal" key more.

With the 991 GT3, can you leave the main key in your pocket and just pull on the doors to open them and turn a dummy key in the ignition switch slot to start the car ("comfort access" equivalent)? Do the other 911's have this but it's stripped out of the GT3?

New future Porsche owner here, but it seems odd to typically use your right hand to unlock the car with a key fob, and then swap it to your left hand to put into the key slot to manually start the car.

Thought it would bug me more not having it - but I am used to it. As others have said, not having memory or flip down right mirror when parking is a bigger annoyance. Got a rear camera installed and love it. Huge upgrade. Highly recommended.

Yes, optional on others, not available on the 3.

I will miss it on my Turbo S, my wife's car does not have it and I am forever reaching for the key in the ignition with the actual key in my pocket. I don't care about the memory seats feature as I am the only one driving the 991 Turbo, and that will be especially true on the GT3.

Nice, is the camera OEM and integrates into the PCM system when in reverse?

Please post info on the camera install.

Can't believe that it doesn't have the flip down right mirror. Essential, imho.

I don't believe the Sport Design mirrors that are standard on the GT3 lend themslves to swiveling down.

You'd have to get the standard 991 911 Carrera side mirrors and those have nasty wind buffeting issues.
