Oh wow, thanks Mike! I didn't even notice that, of course I have the right date on my Calendar and the tickets in hand, but it is misleading! I assume you are in, both days?
We're going down Thursday and I have my tickets and corral pass for all 3 days, Friday through Sunday. Looking forward to seeing you there! It would be great if we could arrange a Rennlist gathering; if nothing else, at least at the track....
Eduardo, can you edit the original post to reflect the correct dates? BTW, I need to go!!! I bet they'll have the Le Mans winning 919 there too! What a great year to win Le Mans!!!

Porsche Rennsport Reunion V / Oct 9-11, 2015 at Laguna Seca...it's official!
We will have a good contingent of Porsche club people from the Pacific Northwest at Rennsport this September. Some driving down, some flying in. Should be fun. My wife who has a manual Boxster (dislikes pdk) opted to have her ticket money instead allocated for shopping and whatever. She'll be driving the rental car mostly.

Thanks, Eduardo. I know the date change has shown up in other places but I thought there might be newbies or folks who just missed the original announcements who could be confused by the dates in this thread's header, hence my post. I appreciate you being out front on details for this event in the first place!

Done at my end...but now the moderators are the only ones that can change title heading! So that needs their attention.
Saludos,

Wonder if I should buy corral parking for a GT4, we are supposed to pick up in early September.
In case someone's not familiar with the layout, if it's the same as Rennsport IV, corral parking will be in the mostly paved area adjacent to the lagoon and vendor areas between turns 2 and 5. If you're bringing the GT4, or any Porsche, I'd suggest getting the corral pass, otherwise you'll be leaving your new car in one of the general parking areas which are on dirt and very dusty.

As a spectator veteran at Laguna, trust me you don't want to park in the dirt! Lots of rennlist members, a meetup on sat night at turn 12?
I believe Porsche Corral at Rennsport V will include Area 4 in the map below, as it did in Rennsport IV in 2011. For sure it will include the 'Lakebed' area.
Photo above shows area 4 by Curve 5 in foreground. In the background, it's area 4 by Lakebed (on the other side of the track)!
I elected to park in red9 ( you will need to pay extra). Totally paved lot above front straight, thus guaranteed clean parking. Otherwise almost every place else outside the paddock will be in the dirt. Proposed lakebed area is partially paved along the area between turns 2 and 3. Otherwise a huge dirt area asi in the photo above.

Last time the "corral" included the paved area that extends from turn 3 to turn 5 as well as the packed dirt area to the South. Even that dirt area is nowhere near as bad as the general hillside dirt parking areas which get a lot more traffic and hence a lot more stirred up dust. I was lucky enough to get a paved spot at Rennsport IV; guess I'm hoping they decide to put GT cars in a premium location.

The paved area between turns 3 and 5 is usually "vender village". If they don't have venders ( big revenue for track so highly doubt it) then only paved area is between turns 2 and 3...
