I did not think it was an option. I could use the feature.

^^^

hey man sorry I thought my story was known. I have Clubsport 003 option picked up from factory almost a year ago, drove across Europe then shipped to New Zealand. folding CF buckets with heat. ROW only.

I doubt they will do heated with one piece fixed 918 style bucket ala USA but you never know - keep your fingers crossed - they added heat to the ROW buckets just before cutoff 4 montsh after the configurator was launched...

I guess in the US, DOT determined fixed backed buckets are a fire hazard with heated seats...lol. The good thing ? The fact that DOT is letting these buckets come installed on US cars.

Que? Como? Quien?

Funny, I remember a dimmer option thread on the forum awhile ago and answers were totally different.: everyone seemed to say it was worthless.. Now it's almost 180degrees opinion change. I was thinking tinted rear window and sides were good enough?

I can't believe that no one understood my post as sarcasm. Have any of you actually driven a GT3? Especially at night? The wing is huge and makes the rear view mirror practically useless. Now that's what I call auto-dimming.

Resale value? Surely you can't be serious!

I got it 24, but I found it kind of funny to just let this whole thread play out. For the record, my windows will be tinted so between that and the wing there is zero need for auto-dimming. Also, I had it on my last Porsche and the mirror started to leak a very caustic liquid from the mirror onto my seats and center console. To top it off, the mirror was costly to replace.

Bump for the 991.2 GT3

Has anyone had issues with the autodim mirrors? I had some leak on other vehicles from the 90s (funnily the manufacturer sent me new ones for free), but the more recent ones I have seem better insofar as they have not leaked. I love this option as I have sensitive eyes (my non-autodim mirrors I flip them so much they end up getting loose over time).

But still, $700? What happened to $420 like on the Carrera/GTS .... I guess the $280 is for the rain sensor.

I skipped the option.. here in AZ, windows will be tinted... PCCB, Lift and LWB were far more important to me.

Best Regards,
Dave

I optioned them. Also have tints but tints only help with the rear view mirror, they don't help with the side mirrors. Rain sensors also very handy in my part of the world.

It's one of the very few options I regretted not adding to my GT4. Shouldn't have to pay for them for a $100k - $200k car...but it's a Porsche, so we do. Silly not to add it, as there's very little downside.

I tinted all three mirrors as i bought car from previous owner. It does the trick but it is not great when parking in a poorly lit place.

I would always spec the auto dim option
