I work at Champion Porsche as some here know. It took us a year+ to sell a cayman in lime gold .....actually went away yesterday....I have liked every color we have had but though agate looked very boring for a car of the GT3's caliber .....I'd pick yellow....seems like at least 80% have been ordered in white......I'm usually not a red guy but red on a GT3 is hot....GT silver or rhodium both look good as does black if it's REALLY clean. Just my 2cents worth. Mike Szabo

I came of age in the early 70s so bright colors are what I associate with Porsches. I went with yellow since my PTS tangerine was denied and birch green was cancelled. White (cup car) and red would be my other choices. I see the GT3 as already over the top with that wing, and I live in South Florida where multi colored Lambos and red Ferraris are the norm. I am seriously considering wrapping the car in Birch green just to scratch the itch.

Get one of each color.
Apparently dealers all over are flush with new allocations.

Since you brought this up, I don't do this kind of thing very often but I was behind a red Ferrari FF near Napa the other day at a light turning onto the highway. I saw him looking me over in his RV mirror and knew he would punch it to impress his female companion so I did too. The temptation was too great. I heard his V12 scream (lovely) but I pulled on him a bit revving it to 9K in first and 2nd before backing off partway into 3rd. I paced him at the speed limit for a couple of miles before giving him a friendly wave as he turned off the highway and the look on his face was priceless.
I know, I know, but it felt good anyway.....

Don't make a decision based on the colours in the configurator, as they're a terrible misrepresentation of the actual colours.
Have a look at the colours here and here, which are unfortunately all taken at different places, in different lighting, and almost certainly all with different cameras.
There is another thread around here somewhere that shows a group of cars in different colours at a launch of some description, subsequently photographed separately where they were, but I'm stuffed if I can find it; it is possible that Eduardo (Z356) posted it but using his username as a filter won't help much...

From the pics above, mahogany doesn't do it for me. Mahogany gt3 would have to be >10% cheaper for me to choose it over the same car in yellow, agate, or white.

Totally agree with Jimmy. This car is not a blue chip stock it's car so enjoy your choices and colors as you have to live with it. They all look good on the car except for the lime gold thing. Never buy a car if resale if your primary goal it will disappoint you 9 of 10 times holding the bag.

Resale doesn't have to be a primary factor. It only has to be a factor for it to matter. To most rational people it is. That's said, it's perfectly fine/rational to choose a less marketable option if the pleasure derived from it outweighs the costs. Threads like this address the costs (marketability) of such options -- not the subjective pleasure one may be deriving from them.
