I cant believe a guy took $2k from Porsche then turned the car back in. The GT3 is a special car, I have had two of them. Porsche probably doesnt make a whole lot on that car. ANd this 991 was an incredible jump in performance. So there was a mistake. I would have been happy with the way Porsche treated you guys. This guy made it seem like Porsche took away his retirement or something. Its a SPORTS car for gods sake. If he needed that bad or it meant that much to his family where he had to take $2K back from Porsche maybe he needs a Dodge Caravan.

They MUST have mistaken your car for a red one. OK, so this joke is overdone now but I couldn't resist.
I saw his post and it was so distasteful, I couldn't get myself to comment on it. I am very pleased of how Porsche handled this situation and lack of communication was, IMO, just the German way of doing things. No reason to keep on chatting and chatting when there are no meaningful updates.

And I can't believe he admitted that to all of us.
Personally I think Porsche's treatment of this incident and it's customers have been extremely professional and responsible. Just for that, I am a Porsche customer forever!

David, yes 17 days from dropping the form in the mail to receiving the check. Maybe Sam is right, though, about a backlog building up. You could shoot Ian an e-mail and see if he has any scoop. My engine certificate and stickers sat on someone's desk for a week before they sent them to me, so that stuff does happen. Hopefully your check will show up soon.
