Default For those of you that got moved to 2015

For those of you that received a letter informing you that would get a 2015.

Has Anderia called you yet?

The letter says:
Additionally, we wish to compensate you for your inability to drive your GT3 during this time. Our GT3 Concierge will be in touch with you shortly to discuss the specifics and will also be at your service for any other individual assistance you may need.

When asked of compensation she says "your getting a 2015, end of story"

I'am rankled!

Anyone else get a call?

Same story from Ian. No loaner, no cash compensation. We get a 2015.

Only other consideration is options on car at time of delay notification are charged at 2014 MSRP.

MJones,
According to Herr Müller, you should be happy you are getting a car at all. If you complain, they
will take it away from you and gladly sell it to someone else who will pay more. End of story. Das ist Alles! Nun halts Mund!
So we take it like little boys and smile. Reidry is right, Andrea told me today there is no price increase for the options I already have. I feel so good now!

I have heard nothing but silence from those clowns.
Right now, I have lost all interest in waiting. I'll decide when my car gets here in December what I will do.

Once upon a time I should be very excited right now - my original delivery was supposed to be this weekend.

While unfair, that letter was actually issued with specific reference to your 2014 GT3. When people got moved to 2015, that was exactly the stance Porsche took, as your compensation was being moved to a 2015.

I have to say PCNA is not handling this well...I haven't heard anything from my "concierge", even after emailing him twice in two days!
We should be able to at least get a delivery date by now.

Did you check with your salesperson at the dealership? Mine contacted me several weeks ago with production and delivery dates.

I've received no call from PCNA, but my dealer updated my build date from 9/19 to 9/12, so it got moved up one week. Estimated delivery is sometime in late October. My original build date was 4/25.

Fibredog. count yourself lucky there are some of us that have 2014's that will be delivered after you get your 2015. Is Porsche one screwed up company? You bet.

Thus you get a "brand new car" when some of us get a year old car. I would take your 2015 and give you my 2014 in a heart beat.

I do consider myself lucky for only being pushed out 5 months, vs. having the car delivered or built and waiting for it to get an engine swap. I haven't been following all of the compensation threads, but figure that if the compensation equals the depreciation delta on a 14' vs. 15', we are somewhat equal. If the compensation is less than that, I guess I'd personally be selling the car back. As a business owner, to me great customer service would be paying depreciation, loss of use and some bonus beyond making things even, to keep the customer loyal to the brand and thank them for their patience. I'm not sure any of the big auto companies would go this far. Maybe Ferrari or McLaren, etc..., but their bread and butter is with high-end sports cars only. Porsche unfortunately makes the majority of their money on the sub-100k cars sold to the masses and that's where their efforts probably go. If there were no Cayennes or Macan's, this may have played out differently. It sucks nonetheless.

The problem is that Porsche does not believe the 2014s will depreciate. I do not even think they know what depreciation is. They do not live in the real world. But - in the case of the now ultra limited 2014/15 limited 991 GT3 run - I do not think there will be much depreciation; but we can argue this until we are blue in the face so only time will tell.

Just as a side note. I spoke with Resnik Porsche yesterday in California and the sale manager about buying my GT3 that has yet to arrive for a 911 Turbo S cab they have. Part of this was to test the water.

He had no interest in my GT3. I asked why and he said several customers of his have walked from the car, people know of the engine issue and are staying away. His view and this is a "car dealer" is that he would not want to hold onto the GT3 as in his words "it will tank in value especially the 2014's". I take what he said with a large grain of salt. He wants to buy at the lowest possible price and of course sell at a major premium.
