No, it is just that NOBODY has yet to request it on either a 991, 981 or a current Panamera! The list only reflects those colors officially requested on an order for those specific models...and either approved, rejected or being tested or needing testing. The colors approved for the older .2 997 are not automatically approved & carry over to the new 991/981 models since materials used for the newer models (e.g. paint from suppliers, exterior surfaces on vehicles, etc) might have changed or expanded.

As you already figured out, Danbury CT.

'Lime Green Metallic'? Did you mean to say 'Lime Gold Metallic'? No, it's 'Chartreuse'.

It would seem smart to me that if one goes PTS, it should be to get a color which is distinctly different from what is available as standard. For example, there are enough shades of grey already to get close enough for me, but there is nothing close to that light baby blue color which looks so good. Or any kind of green color..

The only exception in my mind would be to get a true deep ferrari red, because while guards is very close, it just doesn't have that beautiful blood red depth that the red you see on a Ferrari gives.

Carmine Red- That is the color you are conveying above. You nailed it dead-on. Saw it today at my dealer on a Cayenne GTS

Carmine red is beautiful.. But it's a little dark right, like a cherry tint almost? It's not PTS I believe, offered on cayman gts now also

Carmine was my PTS pick, but I was too impatient to wait for it. Yes, it's still $5500 even though a standard color for cayenne, panamera, Boxster and cayman. It is an approved 991 PTS color now though.

Posted this in the wrong thread ... Oops!

What do you guys think of Meteor Grey Metallic as a PTS color for a 991 GT3?

Too plain. Just another different shade of grey. If you are going to pay for PTS do some thing that stands-out - Just my opinion

If my wife wasn't part of the selection committee it would be Aqua Blue Metallic, Sapphire Blue Metallic or Voodoo Blue.

However my wife is not a "blue" fan.

Currently our order reflects GT Silver.

I think that would drive me insane.. Paying $5500 for what is a standard color... I love the hue, but that just sounds like asking Porsche to give it to you up the you-know-what.
