I just saw the first car ready and being prepped to be returned to its owner here in Dubai - UAE. Engine has been installed. Took then less than a day to get the old one out and the new one in I asked the service Manager about the mesh grills in front of the front wheels to protect the radiators and he said they had no information for it here in the UAE. He said due to the heat PAG might not apply that mesh here to prevent overheating issues arising. Temperatures at are around 45 degrees Celsius right now and it gets worse. he did say he would look into it though with PME he also confirmed that the car got PDK-S/engine/RWS software updates. Oh and here is little video Of the car being started up which also shows you the little blue light that is on on cold start up to prevent over revs until the car is at adequate operating temperature. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BkFgq...ature=youtu.be My engine gets here in around 2 days and i should have the car by next weekend. any questions you might have I will be happy to answer then. here is the boxes the engines arrive in cheers Arth
Thanks for always updating the group. Looking forward to more videos and write ups on "Arth's adventures!"
That's got to be a huge cost to Porsche to give all these new 911's as loaners... That's 400 or so loaners across the US which can't be sold as new cars anymore. Am I wrong?
Looks bloody beautify Mike even on a trailer. That angle is perfect - must be the best/most aggressive 911 production road car made by Porsche for many years (perhaps since 993GT2 road version)!
At least it was in your garage and not sitting outside in some dealer lot. Best of luck with this

Thanks a lot guys, and sorry Jimmy! I just hope it comes back undamaged and running properly. The dealer called and said it made it there ok, so the first step is complete.
Phil: Coats of wax? 2.....1 after the stop drive. It was a form of therapy.
Well, it was picked up about 30 minutes ago and is on its way. I should have it back by the week of July 7th if all goes well.
Congrats Mike!!
I haven't got the call yet! When did they call you to tell you a pick up time? They said my car would be finished the week of July 7 but haven't made arrangements yet for a pickup.

Me, neither. Same info was given to me. However, Andrea said I should be called by Roadside Assistance early week (hopefully tomorrow) to schedule pickup so I expect something soon.
I am sure you will, too.

Congrats on progress! Do you know when mine was shipped out from the dealer? Please do not tell me it was still sitting there when you brought yours in.
