I would think that the likelihood is a system info issue. If delivery is in November in the US, that's equal to those who had a pre production allocated who were then moved to a September / October build for a MY2015.

The reality is this; all 2014 models will be on the road by July. Some will get them sooner by a month or so. Those that are saying that the last of the 2014's will be delivered in November are plain wrong.
BTW, regarding your suggestions of providing us with models cars or $5 pens please keep those to yourself. I don't want Porsche to get any stupid ideas.

Sorry, Ian says the November delivery makes no sense. He said the system will hopefully update, once production gets moving along. Maybe it was a means by Porsche to set a date, they know they can beat? One can only hope!

Fwiw...my car is showing the exact same expected dates as mcsmcs1 and mine was completed appx 3 weeks earlier on 26 Feb
PAG obviously have no idea (or at least have not indicated in their system) and are data filling all the same across the cars

I am just happy they are in full production on the new engines. That alone gives me tremendous confidence that they have resolved any potential issues and the new engine will be epic. I figure that if they are producing 40 engines per day they can crank 800 out pretty quick and air freight them. I think Nick it correct. Figure 8 weeks at the most and that may be conservative

The information is not sourced. If Porsche began building engines let's say April 24th and assuming they can only build 40 a day (I think that is low; there was a report the Porsche has added another line to expedite production) it would take 20 days to build 800 engines. Let's also assume they hold out 50 engines for testing, it still would take then another of couple of days to meet the 800 target. That get us into the third week of May.
However, during the 22 days they have been shipping engines by air to the various locations for install. Those cars that were build after the stop sale (200 ? still at the factory) would get their engines within a week after that or first of June. If they shipped shortly after that you are looking at a July/Aug delivery date.
I cannot imagine a scenario that would have Porsche shipping 2014 cars in November. But considering what has happened to us I guess nothing is out of the question.

They might get engines out in 20-30 days Nick but I think the real delay will come in replacing them... If they take 8-10 hrs to replace, thats only 5 cars per week or 20 per month for each team assigned the task at the factory for those that didn't ship which was a huge proportion of the 785 cars built when the stop ship occurred, not to mention those built since. And these will be second priority after delivered cars...
Then there are resources to be sent around the world to sort out customer cars which will be priority one... The dates being quoted may well be true.

This can be done and considering german efficiency I do not see a reason why it can't be done in a couple months.
