I would think that VW would have very little patience with the Stop Sale issue.
Probably the reason info has been so scarce. Takes time to run all the issues up and down the chain of command.
I doubt if we'll see another. Get yours while you can.

GT3 is a liability for Porsche with the current spec, 9K RPM and track use, etc... If they can sell a 991 C2S for $137K why bother with GT3. These cars get abused on track. Turbo is less liability. I agree with Kosmo.

I'm giving it a 50/50 chance, but not because of VW's impatience with the stop sale. They plan to sell 5000 times as many other cars this year.

on a tangent here but Porsche's nomenclature is and will become interesting. Some examples:
the Panny S now has a Turbo V6, but they dont call it a Turbo, as there's already a Turbo in the line up.
the Macan S has a Turbo V6 , they do not call it a Turbo. Then theres there the Macan Turbo.
I suspect the Cayenne S will also go the same route.
I strongly suspect there will be another Turbo added in the 911 range. Perhaps a smaller Turbo F6 in the S while the Base will make do w/ a Turbo F4 (Subaru anyone)?
So it is possible that the future GT3 will really be a Twin Turbo but w/ 2wd and track gear while a future GT2 would be a GT3 Plus 10%? Im confused.

Three Wheelin'
My bet is GT3 will be NA + hybrid, while rest will be turbo +/- hybrid in various states of tune. At least for 1 or 2 more generation(s) before everything goes electric.

But in general, I agree. Turbos & PDK's as far as the eye can see to meet stricter Cycle 6 Euro Emissions and equally tough US CAFE (Corporate Average Fuel Economy) standards! It's going to be a brave new world...not necessarily the best for folks like me that prefer a manual & a N/A engine!

Just at Geneva motor show.....no PAG reps in sight....can't say surprised
So nothing to add on GT3....
919 looks fugly in flesh and is yet another turbo.....plus energy recovery.
RSR Is all business...much preferred it....shared main stand with Weber's new DD....
918 was behind closed doors ...seems not all sold....version on display was in an underwhelming white ....
Star of show to me was split between Speciale and Huracan....former just one very focused machine.....and the latter far more compelling in flesh....got to get up close and personal with both....May be difficult choice...with the RS looking increasingly AWOL.
650S ....unconvincing....
Granted all foregoing without benefit of drives....but visual/aesthetics/tactile elements...

It all depends on the final specifications & regulations that the combined gte & gt3 class finally receives from the ACO & FIA in 2015!
