Default What to do with April build date?

I have an April build date with expected end of May delivery. Until all this hoopla with the recall I was super excited at the prospect of getting my car right before summer. Now I'm still excited but also getting nervous with the numerous changes made for this generation 3. I have to commit by the end of this week (like tomorrow). I'm not one for rumors and definitely not the nervous type, but I have to wonder if proceeding with a build now is not a bit foolish. Anyone else in this position? Thoughts? Comments?

I have an April build as well. And am really struggling with this. Twice today I've been on the verge of canceling and picking up a panther black R8 that's sitting on the dealer lot locally. It could be in my garage tonight. I think I am going to see it through for the next couple of weeks and get all the facts. Not fun!

sgroer: you're not allowed to cancel your order because you're my only hope of seeing a GT Silver GT3 in the flesh before my order date locks this summer. don't lose the faith!

Mine gets built this month. I'm not changing anything until I hear what exactly went wrong.

I know! I know! Chances are, I won't cancel. But this is the first car I've ever ordered and it's been quite a ride! I am not optimistic that my car will be built in 3 weeks given the backlogs that are likely going to come as a result of the recall. We shall see!

I also have an April build and will sit tight for now. Will wait to see what the delay may be if any. I would suspect that Porsche will continue to build sans engine.
Hopefully they will get this resolved soon and I can have my car to enjoy this summer....

Cheers,

I bet some people did cancel. I wouldn't be surprised if you found a spot by calling each dealership individually. I'm staying the course for now and hoping Porsche fixes this in time for me to have a bright yellow toy for this summer!

Guys, don't cancel your order. You will get a beautiful GT3 and I'm pretty sure everything will be good in the end.

Why would one cancel a build that hasn't started yet? Afraid that they will continue to build the car with the 'defect'? Unlikely, no?

April build here. I knew going in this is a new model with potential for problems/recalls. Not making excuses for PAG- it still shouldn't happen. That said I'm sitting pat. Haven't heard anything factual that would make me cancel.
