Default Stop Sell on 991 GT3's?

Was at the dealers yesterday picking up my car and was looking at a new 991 GT3 in the service department. I was told that there was a "stop sell" on new GT3's.
Has anyone else heard this?

I LOL'd at that article. I know it's inappropriate.

I am in the midst of ordering a GT3 and was alerted to this as well. This is not helping...

Was supposed to attend a GT3 event in Sepang F1 Circuit today, but was told the GT3 couldn't make it to the track and I had to cancel my participation. No reason was given as to why the car couldn't make it. Another downer I can't believe they only have 1 GT3 for the event...

Clarence are you based in Singapore? If so how many cars have been delivered there already and how many are on order?

Yeah, I'm from Singapore. From what I know, the first batch of GT3 should arrive here sometime around April. Not sure how many have been sold so far. I have decided not to wait for a test drive after the cancellation of the Sepang drive and place an order with the dealer. It's all pricing now. If they can't meet my expectations, I would probably parallel import one from UK myself. If buying from dealer, the spontaneous combustion issue is less of a concern as the dealer would have to replace the car. Oh yes, thanks for your information on the faulty parts. It's very reassuring

Default Stop Shipment

Those of you that have taken delivery of the new 991 GT3, has the dealer reached out and provided any explanation or reason to be concerned? Mine is sitting at the port in Emden, Germany, not sure what they are going to do.

I called my dealer (service tech) and he knew about it, looked up my VIN and said nothing was mentioned under my VIN...have had my car for over a month...no issues yet.
