Drive vs. Ship Car 2k Miles

Highly recommend the southern route and stay on I-10 at least to El Paso, then on to DFW.
I-40 gets above 10k ft. crossing the Rockies, where you will get ice.
DFW to the windy city - No recommendations for this time of year except to check the weather in advance.
Have had bad luck with regional highways in my GT3. Widespread disrepair and/or construction detours. Especially Utah, Colorado and Texas. Bad conditions are more noticeable in a GT3.
Good Luck

Here we go.. Stop off at a friends in Phx to get some rest, a nice wax, and car bra at North Scottsdale Porsche.. He has a great guy that comes to your house with deionized wash water (LOL) to detail cars. Let me know if you need a contact in PHX area. Great prices.

-- ~400 Mi LA to Phx, the car is perfect. Very comfortable with all the performance settings off. Entertaining to listen to the engine or the radio.

Porsche US delivery
Did you guys know that you could order your car and request delivery in other dealerships? A new owner was doing just that with his 50 yr anniversary 911 few weeks ago. San Francisco delivery , take HWY 1

Please tell me more. I live in Austin, but my car is being bought from a Chicago dealer. What is the additional expense for this courtesy delivery?

Interesting. Could be a good way to go to Porsche Parade, and save a couple thousand miles on the commute.
