FYI, just got the LED kit for the 991 from Suncoast (interior lights) - replaces regular door lights and housings, and glove box light. What a difference - now it matches the rest of the lights inside the car. Really high value upgrade. About $85 - ask for Ryan at Suncoast if interested...he put the kit together for me as some of my lights were already LED. Trunk light was already LED but didn't catch that before I ordered...so I really only needed the glove box and 2 door lights.

Speaking of LED... How are the LED headlights compared to xenons as far as brightness during dark unlighted night time driving in your opinion?

@JCBH -- I forgot if I asked you this already, but did you get the Light Design Package too? If so, are they LED?

Yeah, seems so. I got the package, just not sure why some lights are LED and some are not...either way, glad I got it. Adding the further LED's has been perfect. All set now.

I have them on my M6 Gran Coupe and find them really bright and clear. Same on my 991 GT3. I also (still) have my 991 Carrera S cab with Xenons (selling it) and I can definitely see a difference. I recommend the upgrade (plus I love the way it looks both during daytime and night time).

Update - drove tonight in a spirited drive in the dark canyons, no street lights - the LED headlights were incredible, swiveling with the curves, bright as hell. Very impressed.

Yeah, that seems about right - I added the other areas mentioned above. Makes it more complete.

The LED option cost was for me was ~$500. It seems you did this for less. If true then we should let others know to save them $$. Too late for me

Is this led package INSTEAD of the ambient light package offered by Porsche for the gt3, or does it just upgrade those lights to led bulbs?
