signal green 996
I just came across this thread and I know its an older thread but I would like to share info on my signal green 996. Yes, I have a PTS 2005 996 Turbo S. This is before the above mentioned 997. The sticker says "W25". Just wanted to share my photos and info. I wonder if my car was the first W25 porsche did before the 997?

I have heard done in that W25 version of 'Signal Green'. I had
read of a 'Signal Green' 996 Turbo S before & had seen an ad
for its sale in the past year or so. But I didn't know where it
had ended up...obviously with you.
I am the number one fan of W25 'Signal Green'! In my opinion
it's a much richer color than my current S22 'Signal Green' gt3.
I still have the original rear deck lid of my 2007 997S in W25.
Can you share with us the history of this W25 'Signal Green'
vehicle? What was the dealer that originally ordered it? Was
it a customer or dealer spec?

Eduardo

Hi Eduardo and everyone on the forum,
Yes, that's photo of my car at the dealership when new (before I owned it).
To best of my knowledge, this special turbo S was a dealer spec car. The dealer was Pioneer Centres in San Diego. It sold to the first owner in CA and he only had it for very short time, about 1000 miles, and sold to the second owner in CA as well. A small broker in Arizona sold it to me about 1.5 yrs ago with 13k miles only. One of the options is Z0997 Custom Tailoring. Do you know what that is? Beautiful 997S!

was the same dealer that ordered on spec my 2007 997 S. They
also ordered a 2007 997 4S. I recently wrote about all the W25
'Signal Green' cars that I know of at this other thread:

Custom tailoring is exactly that - a special custom
option that is tailored-made for the person or dealer
that ordered the vehicle. It's priced individually.
Today such special requests fall under CXX option
codes. Why don't you post some photos of the
interior of your car and identify for us the special
option package in question. This is the interior
of the '07 W25 997 S that I owned, which had
some interior bits painted to match the exterior
color!

I don't have question about interior packages. My interior is just black. They did order the short shift and bigger steering wheels and few minor stuff. Anyways, good read on your post re all signal green. very informative! Thanks again

'custom tailoring' referred to in your Monroney
sticker (if that is where you found it listed)?
I am curious.

I am not sure as my interior is pretty basic other then short shifter, thicker steering wheel, nav and sound system etc. I don't have a sticker under my hood but i found it on some papers that came with the car which lists the options it had.
