997.2 19" Wheels work on a 991 GT3?
Getting ready to sell my GT3 and pondering what to do with the two sets of spare wheels I have, in the 19" size.
Probably too soon to say, wondering if anyone has any insight as to whether or not a current gen GT3 wheels would fit on the 991 version. Guessing could be issues clearing calipers, rotors etc and that's before considering wheel offsets.
Coming up blank after spending time on the board and trying to see what will work.

The most recent Turbo S's delivered to local dealers here that I've seen have, surprisingly, had 5 bolt Wheels with no prior announcement from the factory. The dealers have been telling their customers how much more attractive the 5 Bolt wheels are. Certainly beats customers asking for a $3,825 discount for the unannounced change from the Website's CL photos. Hopefully, our GT3's may also come through with 5 Bolt wheels, a win-win for us and a lower production cost to PAG. I'd gladly give them the additional profit on those expensive CL's to save us
the hassle of dealing with them.

It was pretty interesting to listen to the GT engineering team talk about the new GT3's wheels last summer.
When you start spending time around the cars, many of you will probably notice that the front wheels of the 991 GT3 are inset. The guys who build the car would have liked them to sit a little more flush for optics (find me a hot-rodder who doesn't like good stance), but ended up with the setup they chose due to a significant difference in high-speed stability. They said the relationship between the front and rear wheels in this regard is absolutely critical, and exacting. The setup you'll see is as good as they could get it.
So...if offset is that critical, I have to wonder how wheels designed for the previous car with different track widths would work on the car. They're also waiting for the aftermarket to start making wheels that "fix" the optical problem and move the front wheels outward. Hope this is helpful info...

Great info Pete.
After modding cars for years, I've found that virtually every modification has its drawbacks, even when the aftermarket claims its a fix for a 'cheap' quality OEM part that was produced and used on the car for pricepoint. Messing with offset for appearances is one of them. Same can be said about a larger wheels and aspect ratio, bushings etc etc.

Saw a brand spanking new white turbo S at VIR on Monday, very nice and it had the CL wheels. Had a good look at the inflatable front splitter. Don't know how well it would hold up going over say kerbs on track at speed but it felt pretty robust. The perfect DE Cup car would of course also have an active aero wing on the rear as a well.
