Don't know who the driver is but he certainly drove the crap out of the GT3. Got in over his head a few times but the car seemed very catchable...

 

Imola is a great circuit. GT3 looks quick!

 

Lovely Track. The Europeans have the best tracks in the world!

I wouldn't say this guy is any driving god. infact Hes no better than I I suspect but he still pulled of a credible time. To put it in perspective a GT3 Cup would be around 1.52-1.53 on qualifying and the latest GT3 RSR around 1.45 on this course...

This guy looks like he may be using the stick shifter.

 

The docile behavior of the GT3, even when being driven over the alligators, grass, pavement changes, elevation changes, entering turns "too quickly", etc is simply astounding - no snap oversteer with wheels off the ground, no understeer accelerating at full throttle around tight turns - in short, simply no "bad behavior"
This is a car that will make any driver look good - and a good driver look great!!! WOW!!!

Exactly. This reinforces my suspicion that the 991 GT3 will drive more like a Macca 12C than the "big *****" GT3s of yore...

 

a 997 cup 2009 lap in Imola is about 1'49, a 997 cup 2010 lap 2 sec less. A professionist driver with 2010 cup car is around 1'46"

In any case this 991 gt3 seems incredible fast

Id imagine driven by someone who knew the track fairly well that 991 GT3 should have been capable of around 1.50-52 - not too bad for a road car.

 

The car looks WAY to easy to drive. Reminds me of the GTR.

 

The curbs at that circuit seem so "inviting".
