Default Eagerly anticipating the 991 GT3 for the track...

This board has beat the horse dead.... BUT.... I'm beginning to come around. I think the new GT3 will be a beast.

Though I still think of PDK & PTV as "cheating" on the track - it sure is fast! I had up close and personal experience with a new 991 C2S Cab with PDK on the track yesterday. Let me say it bluntly - the car is freaking fast!!!

Observations-
1) changing the PDK gears in a corner does not unsettle the car at all (Torque Vectoring rocks!)
2) with R-comps, the car sticks! Telemetry showed a max of 1.19Gs
3) Plenty of get up and go with 430hp

With the 991 C2S as a baseline - I am really excited to see the new GT3 & GT3 RS. I am wishing I had placed an order... Seeing these cars on the track next summer will be exciting! Congrats to all you guys that are awaiting delivery...

I'm thinking that I may want to keep the 996GT3 though... Nothing beats the feel of rotating the car IMHO... Perhaps these two track cars would be ideal... We shall see.

(Lastly, I think DE groups should now be ordered by "old school (heel/toe)" and "new school (dual clutch auto)". The difference in lap times is going to be shocking...)

My $0.02,
-B

Should only have had 400 HP. Was it equipped with the Power Kit to get to 430?

Yes - power kit included... Also understood that the owner purchased the PTV "option"? I need to read up on the 991 options list...

PTV= Porsche Torque Vectoring. Is standard on the S models.

That was my experience also. Even my 400HP 991 C2S with PDCC, SC, etc
was considerably faster around the track with far less effort than both my 996 GT3 and 996 TT X50 - which is why I ordered my 991 GT3.
