991 GT3 Depreciation

The 991 GT3 is a highly desirable car for most people even today. Besides, perceptions change. In 10-20 years, when the car world is flush with electrics and hybrids, I think a NA 475HP 9000 RPM Porsche GT3 will have plenty of appeal for a collector; LWB, RWS, and PDK notwithstanding.

People were saying similar things about the 911 when it replaced the 356. By the same logic, present day Ferraris, Maccas, Mercedes....the list goes on...will be shunned by collectors as well. I don't think so....

That won't be an issue in 10-20 years and anyway running out of oil won't be the problem. In 50 years I'll be gone and my grandkids and great grandkids can worry about what to do with Grandpa's old 475HP IC relic.

Your'e not going to run out in your lifetime. We have so much now that gas cars are going to be around for along time. As soon as we start figuring out that we have a problem getting rid of these Prius batteries, then maybe the knuckle heads in Washington start letting us fracking. Our reserves are the largest they have ever been. I dont know why we import so much, unless we have a policy of using everyone else's fuel FIRST then getting to ours. I dont want to hijack this thread the point being at this time we the point is we have plenty of fuel for a long time. We DONT have a place for all these toxic batteries
Seems they rather would go to nuclear power instead
