sorry, but everyone is fascinated with 4.0, that's too yesterday. i want a 5.0L RS.. i need something to blow reter's Z06 out of sebring. 700 hp N/A aspirated might just do it.

If they can't give us the equivalent of the Ruf v8
The 5.0 flat 8 should put out 666 Hp.

It will be interesting to see what he means by extreme..... closer version to the race variant..... a 4.0 litre..... manual..... aggressive shape..... light weight..... now there's a thing or two.
I too believe the delta between the GT3 and RS will be widened beyond the last 2 gens to justify huge diff in msrp.

Don't think I need both tho probably go to a cayman interseries from there to go racing...

I hope you're right. If, as some have suggested, the RS will be only an incremental step up from the GT3, I will be p****ed. I think GT3 buyers should expect that Porsche will deliver the best car of that type that it can given the current state of technology and cost considerations. To announce a new, slightly better car at a relatively small price difference before the first GT3's have been delivered would be unforgivable.

Everyone has the "From What I've heard" stories...

I hear aside from the body work (some lighter weight parts) and a little bump in power, there isn't going to be too much that's different, lap times included (a second or two on a long track). DEFINITELY no manual. Whoever thinks that is on crack because there is NO way an RS buyer wants a car slower on the track than a base 991 gt3. Sorry, thats not happening in the RS devision of things where they do actually value overall lap times. (Just wait for your GTS model and have a ball with it).
