I guess Iam Old school but manual for me, I canot think of loosing the feedback engagement of driving a manual or the bragging rights of being able to drive and dominate it so efortlessly, as I am sure many of us here do.
I have a 996 ttS, and I have new pedigree braging rights!!! The last Tubo S with a stick!!!

not sure the vote reflects my opinion at all. i feel offering one or the other is equally bad. i want porsche to offer CHOICE of either pdk or stick.

The frustrating part about reading RL lately is regardless of which 991 GT3 thread you go to there are enough posters that decide the best way to voice their disappointment is with condescending adolescent comments regarding the other drivers(oops) sorry the C&C people. Sure is easy to do when anonymous. Boring enough that I imagine many will just sign off until the car is launched. Guess someone could say that real drivers track in race cars not street legal cars.

It seems that the US and maybe the UK market are probably THE markets when it comes to preferring manual vs pdk or really old vs new - incidentally they are still the only first world nations still using the imperial system.
It's odd at first but maybe not really that surprising if you look at history.
The US - or the russians for that matter - wouldn't have been able to place a man on the moon without German or continental European technology - nor build a jet or a rocket.
Driving experience/preference aside / i guess some of that attitude - good or bad - still hasn't changed for some. Interesting.
