Same car as Geneva. Somewhat cruel that it's shown with Euro seats, but that's the attention to detail from Porsche Marketing we've come to know and love-hate.

Yes, same car. Photos on another forum. I don't know if it is OK to post a link?

Good question. There's a lot of sites that try to cross-promote from Rennlist to attract click-thru's and establish their own advertising revenue stream. I don't think the other site you might mean (gt2gt3cup) is one of them, but almost all the other sites are literally just advertising page load sites, all carbon copies of whatever is found at the originating sites.

Funny, wonder what they tell people when they ask about the seats

Anybody that goes to the show:

1) Tell them you love the bucket seats being displayed in the car and see how they react
2) If they fess up that the buckets are not being brought to the USA, act really disgusted. If they don't fess up, confront them.

I want to make them squirm.

I'm going on Sunday and I'll try to post some pictures if nobody had posted by then.
Anyway, don't think there're many people you can actually talk with about this car, last year when I went and they had the 991 S,you could only talk with some girls with a nice smile surrounding the car... Maybe I'll have better luck this year...

There was nobody to complain too and the car was locked!!! The highlight was Seinfeld's 64 that was parked next to it.

Actually, Fatih asked:

http://gt2gt3cup.org/showthread.php?p=3402#post3402

"I asked that question and what we already heard about testing procedures changing has disqualified the current 997 bucket seats, so they are redesigning the seats to be legal in the US and they understand and fully acknowledge that the US customer, particularly, very demanding about the sport buckets"

So, let's hope that Porsche reps were not bull****ting. If they weren't, it seems that we (USA) will eventually get sport buckets after all!! (yes, I've read through pages and pages of complaints, though only in select threads..)

I guess we shall see.

Yes you do, just not in the 991, but any 997 with buckets you can sit in no problem

The big questions is when ?
They should have known, and they could have started that testing procedure years ago when the C2 was launched

Great news. If that is the reason, which makes sense, the usual suspects can stop whining about their conspiracy theories about PCNA, US dealers and keeping GT3 drivers off the track.
