Default Rear bumper dented inwards

if you look carefully near the gt3rs letters there’s 2 dented spot or deform. Is this due to the heat from the engine? Coz obviously when I touch that area it’s warm

never seen that before!

that's not a particularly "hot" part of the engine ...

I wonder if perhaps you are leaking some exhaust gas from the central muffler up into the rear bumper ... my guess is that is the only way this could happen.

google some GT3RS engine pics you will see what I mean ...

I recently installed JCR center muff delete and side delete but I’m going thru old pix it was already there before the exhaust change

This is the day I bought it seems like it was already there but not as obvious in lava orange but you can still see the spiral in the reflection.

This is when it’s not obvious coz I guess lava has less reflection than black.

This is after wrapping and you can notice the 2 dents

did the previous owner have an aftermarket exhaust on the car?

regardless I think you are stuck with this unless you want to replace the bumper

It was stock exhaust previous.

Mine has a similar warped look, though more subtle in the same area. Not sure when it happened but I have a center bypass exhaust on it.

it could well be that ctr bypass generates more heat where the gases meet vs the OEM ... since there is no expansion box...

Assuming its the exhaust gas and you get this addressed. Shouldn't a competent PDR guy be able to fix the dent to avoid having to do a whole new bumper?
