Made the move from a 991.2 GT3 to a 991.2 RS just a few months ago, and went through the same thought process for many years... is it worth going from one to the other? For me, yes. Being able to experience different cars, even if only slightly different, is exciting and interesting. I've been taking the YOLO mentality from when i got the GT3 and then moved to the RS since it is within my means.
Also made the switch from manual track cars to PDK a couple cars ago, and honestly do not miss it on track. That said, I would miss a manual for weekend drives, and like you, fortunately I've got another car that fits that purpose.
Reporting back on my decision: it may be a dumb one, or not. But I traded the gt3 in for the RS. Non- Weissach - coulda’t pass up on an RS that came into my dealer - low miles (4000), mint paint, minimal track use by prior owners (both who traded in to same dealer so history was well known).
Thanks for all the input
BTW my buddy convinced me to do it by saying if I regret it in 2-3 years and have to take a $20k -30k loss on it and buy another manual gt3 and can accept that potential $ loss then why not do it? YOLO as they say!

Congrats! Hope you enjoy it! For me PDK kills the experience and I view a 991.2 RS as a downgrade vs. a manual 991.2 GT3 but I know I'm in a different camp. That said, I really wanted an RS in addition to my 991.2 GT3T so I got the latest RS you can get with a real transmission and it's a blast!

YOLO is right, A buddy of mine seen my GT3 last night, and he has never owned a Porsche, and he loves them.
I told him, buy a Porsche, and do it while you can, life is short!

Man that is nice- last of the manual RS- hearing they ain’t cheap!!
I don’t get car until end month - having some stuff done at dealer before delivery- tint, buff, ceramics and new PPF, a small stripe, center exhaust, and two seat tilt bracket's. So these are from the dealer ad.
Congrats, made the same move 2 years ago, from a top spec .2 gt3 to a .2 wp rs
to me it's really the look only lol. Driving on back roads the rs is actually not as compliant, too bouncy and harsh. It also drones a bit more with less sound deadening. We actually prefer the gt3 as a road car (even with LWB). However, a RS puts your mind to ease realizing there's really nothing else to "upgrade" to (for reasonable money that is, there's always the 992rs) and the rs holds value better than a gt3 due to lower production number. But if i am spending over 200k large it better have the same presence as the ferraris lambos mclarens

I went the opposite way over 4 years ago. Sold my RS and bought my Touring. It was my second RS, had both a ‘16 and ‘19. I agree on your assessment. It was good to be able to experience them but I am happy with my choice. You can’t go wrong either way.
Last year I sold my 2019 GT3T that I bought from new, and enjoyed for 12k miles. I missed it so much that I went looking for another GT car. I considered another 991.2 manual, GT4RS, and 991.2 GT3RS. I also thought about the 997.2 GT3RS, but I have a 997.2 cup, and I just couldn't bring myself to pay the big money they appear to be bringing these days. I had a 997.2 GT3 that I enjoyed for 8 years as well.
I was on a waitlist for an RS for 4 years, and never got one, but got an allocation for the touring. I loved that car, and was happy, so I never switched. I always had the RS in the back of my mind though.... When I had to let the touring go to make another car work, that freed me up, and I pretty much went straight for an RS. I've not had her long, but so far I feel like I made the right choice and love the car. It's a WP car, which I wouldn't have ordered back then, but I'm happy I have it now.

Congrats! Btw a Non-WP RS is supposed to have body colored wing. Is it wrapped in black ?

I love the gold wheels-
Many of the GT Silver RS’s have them -
it was one of the things I’d have liked to get with the car but it wasn’t a deal breaker on the black wheels
