It was pointed out to me the description states this as a dealer converted wingless car and not originally a Touring. In case anyone misses that or cares.
Good catch. Missed that. Pricing is ambitious for a conversion.
This car is a conversion. Formerly sold at a Porsche dealership last month. It was offered to me and conversion was done by them. $25K cost is confirmed. Nice car just not a factory Touring.

Description also states CPO is intact. Wonder how that works, I thought CPO was only transferrable if private sale. Maybe it's on consignment? On the other hand, JAB's post indicates it was at a Porsche dealership just a month ago.
Car was sold at Westmont Porsche for $220K a month ago.
I'm all for people making a profit, and I know the market will always dictate value, but does this happen often?
I could see if a 'well respected group' purchased a car from a private party, gave it a mechanical look over, a detail, and then sold it for a profit with their name/reputation as a backing. You could argue there is value in that. But if this car was a) from a dealer and b) a CPO, then what exactly is Merrit doing here to warrant a quick $30k increase? If there answer is simply "its a rare car, they got to it first, and now they can dictate their asking price" then okay. If they think they identified a quick arbitrage, so be it. I'm just curious if this is common.

I guess Merit has their clientele and they're marketing to them. They are asking $30k over, but I'd be surprised if they get that.
Gents,
this happens every day in America. Welcome to capitalism.
$250K for a conversion I wouldn’t pay it. Even with the geeat spec! I could’ve grabbed it at $220K and declined. Factory wingless even if with an RS VIN, different story.

An F12 just sold on BAT for $229k and was immediately relisted by a dealer for $280k. As if people who google the VIN can’t see the BAT auction lol

That interior is so far off from a genuine Touring. All that Alcantara, seat fabric, and silver trim looks very out of place.
not sure if this is where this post belongs as i'm pretty new here
i've been looking for a 991 touring for a long time and came to this board bc i saw jab12 on some auctions and i believe he mentioned RL
i just found the car i want. '19 with pccb's, very low miles, and an extensive build.
it was expensive but i'm tired of chasing bat cars with the 7500 vig and delivery fees.
been lurking here and at the auctions for a long time.
it's amazing how much you can learn!
