How many if you regret buying a winged GT3 and wish you had purchased a touring?

My take and personal choice came to the main purpose of the car for my use. I do a lot of HPDE, so a winged car with buckets was my choice. If the car were all/mostly street use, I’d want non-wing and sofas. (I actually have a 997 C2S for weekend, non track for that reason)

I was adamant that I had to have a Touring because I simply prefer the classic 911 shape. Went over it a million times trying to get on board with a winged car because of the price differential. Ended up getting a Touring and while I don't regret it, the thrill that the car gives me while driving it makes me no longer care whether the car has a wing. In other words, had I gotten the chance to spend proper seat time in a GT3 prior to purchasing I very likely would have bought a winged car and loved it just as much.

I have had both (991.2 winged and touring). Winged car does look and feel more special when looking at it. It also gets a lot more attention which I don't like. I much prefer the Touring for this reason and the classic 911 shape.

To me it’s the opposite although I may be in the minority. I think the Touring looks and feels more special. There are far fewer Tourings and it has cleaner lines. It’s not that I don’t like winged cars, I have had several. It’s just that the stealthy looks add something to the overall feel. And I much prefer the interior, I have had enough alcantara on the seats, door panels etc. I do like it on the headliner though. And from behind the wider body without the wing looks great.

From the front, the wing looks incredible. From the side and the back, I really, really wanted to like it (because it would have made for an easier search as well as saved me some $$$) but I don't dig it as much. It's completely irrational and personal but it reminds me of a shark fin for some reason. No regrets. The sleeper/If you know, you know look is for me.

Looks wise the only difference between the two is the wing. The front is the same. The bumpers front and rear are the same. It’s anything but boring. But then again that’s just my opinion and part of its charm is that it doesn’t have the wing. To the untrained all 911’s look pretty much the same. Personally it really doesn’t matter what others think, it matters what you think. That’s all that counts. The special part is what’s under the skin. I have had RS’s and I prefer my car. To each his own.
