Default Headers, Side bypass, Center Delete - 19’ GT3RS Weissach

I’m sure this has been done before, and I have tried researching online and through renntlist for related installs but couldn’t find any unfortunately. I have owned my GT3RS for approximately 4 years now and I finally decided to do a full exhaust.

I’m supposed to be picking up the car tomorrow and the tech that is working on it, is now warning me that the setup I purchased is going to be extremely loud. I just wanted to get some opinions from members. I have spent quite a bit on this set up and I like to get some honest feedback.

The headers are Ryft titanium headers and I believe they don’t have cats, the center bypass & side mufflers are AWE, performance unlocked which also don’t have cats.

Please find attach some pictures of the stock set up versus the new set up. Please feel free to give me any recommendations on how I should set this up if it drones or if it’s too loud.

Good luck, with no muffler or resonators it’s going to drone like crazy

This will be loud which is all I can share, to the point of I hope there are ear plugs in the car.

Looking at the pictures of the equipment you have, you can probably use the aftermarket headers and aftermarket side bypasses, but keep your OE titanium center muffler. That will be an in-between solution that wouldn't be too loud for my personal taste.

I have the AWE side and center delete, but kept factory headers w/cats. It sounds phenomenal, and it is pretty loud, but not ubearable. I wouldn't say there is drone at cruising speed, but you will hear the exhaust when you are just doing normal freeway speeds. The Ryft headers and no cats will probably be exteremely loud, but I'd love to hear what it sounds like!

Thats what I was thinking, however I read on a rennlist post that removing the stock headers, stock side exhaust and replacing them with decatted headers & side mufflers could cause the stock titanium center muffler to explode. Is this true? If not, I can always add the stock headers back and then add the AWE side and center bypass exhaust.

Read the same. Even the standard Steel muffler can't take the pressure with side deletes and no cats

I would either retain the stock headers or find a set of headers with cats to help reduce the volume. Running catless on a street car is excessive imo due to the smell.

Will be ungodly loud. If weight isn't the main concern you could keep the stock side mufflers they will at least make it bearable at low loads with valves closed.

If OP does end up going the route of finding catted headers, I am pulling the Fabspeed catted headers off my car this long weekend and glad to sell at a great price.

As others have said, this will be very loud. I'd advise you to put the stock center muffler on with this setup to help keep the sound manageable. There have been reports of the stock center muffler cracking / failing with a catless setup after sustained track use. If you drive primarily on the street I think your center muffler will be fine.

I have the Dundon long headers and "loud" center muffler. The headers have 200 cel cats and the system is LOUD. I also have a fair amount of sound dampening applied to the floor, doors, and lower rear engine wall, and it's still LOUD. There's a bit of drone in lower RPM ranges in some of the lower gears. I can't imagine a non-catted setup with zero mufflers. It's going to sound absolutely incredible....while standing a quarter mile away.

That setup is going to absolutely rip. Living with it day to day though.....might get old quick.
